Following the success of our Oldřich Kulhánek calendar, we have just released our 2021 calendar, this time dedicated to another inimitable creator of banknotes, Karel Svolinský.
From 16 November 2020, you will have the opportunity to purchase the third release in our series of commemorative banknotes, this time featuring the motif of a wooden building block set designed by Ladislav Sutnar. The design of the banknote once again comes from the collection of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
Have you already bought the “Buffalo” commemorative banknote? If you have, then you must not miss the latest “Mare and Stallions” commemorative note from the student banknote design series. The note will be on sale from 1 October 2020 in our e-Shop.
Besides the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak State and the establishment of the country’s own national currency, other milestones in history include the founding of the national printing works for banknotes and securities, of which we marked the 90th anniversary in 2018. On the occasion of this significant anniversary, the State Printing Works of Securities issued the commemorative note in the form of a “Ninety” banknote.
At the end of 2019, our company successfully passed the difficult re-certification audit and defended the ISO 14298 – Management of Security Printing Processes certificate.
STC close cooperation with the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in area design of banknotes and identity documents.
The Czech Numismatic Society is one of the partners we are happy to work with. In appreciation of the long and professional cooperation, we received the “Commemorative Certificate” from the Czech Numismatic Society (CNS) on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of this society’s foundation.
This year, we decided to build on the successful calendar of 2011. This time, we focused on the graphical work by Oldřich Kulhánek in lithographies.
