The reach of this graphic artist and illustrator is so extensive and varied that it was difficult to choose only twelve designs which are just a minor demonstration of his work, this time focused on his lithography.

Why is this particular artist so dear to us? Oldřich Kulhánek made his mark in the public imagination not only as a graphic artist and illustrator, but also as the designer of the Czech banknotes issued after the split of Czechoslovakia. The preparation of banknotes for printing is a complicated and fascinating process, and therefore, close cooperation between the artist and the banknote producer is so important. In the STC, we treasure the relationship between our printing company and the artist which was established during several years of our cooperation.
